Education is a major concern in Utah. And because our state has the highest birth rate in the nation, funding education will always be a challenge unless the system changes. More educational choice is part of the solution. Tuition tax credits open policies for parents to choose the schools best suited for their children’s needs, abilities, interests, culture, and religion. Studies show that turning education over to private enterprise, non-profit, and scholarship grant organizations (SGOs) will increase competition and generate motivation for the best educational programs to be developed.      Scholarships from SGOs, charter schools, and private schools can improve education achievement while relieving public schools of population growth and (poor administration). Parents and their children deserve more choices in education and require more accountability.
